“We Give Back” Winner — June 2025

The American Cancer Society, a leading cancer-fighting organization, was founded in 1913 by ten doctors and five laypeople in New York City. Their vision is to end cancer for everyone. The organization works to improve the lives of people with cancer — including their families, through advocacy, research, and patient support. Their goal is to ensure everyone has an opportunity to prevent, detect, treat, and survive cancer.

Robert Michaelson nominated American Cancer Society due to the great impact cancer has had on several members of his family. His mother, specifically, is a cancer survivor. He has been happily married to his lovely wife, Rikki, for 27 years and they have three daughters. Robert is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio. He moved to Florida over 20 years ago to be closer to family and for the weather. In his free time, he enjoys pickleball and spending time with his family and friends.
